How to study college physics?
College physics is an important basic course for our engineering students, but it is a chilling course because of its wide coverage and high requirements for advanced mathematics and other mathematical foundations. I am at a loss when I come back from class, and I have a deep understanding of the blank homework. So, I will talk about my experience in studying physics here.

First of all, we should pay attention to the learning links: induction, preview-lecture-review-homework.

(1) preview. Carefully previewing the text is an important link to cultivate self-study ability, and it is also the premise to learn new lessons well and improve the effect of listening to lectures. Preview is not finished by reading it from beginning to end. You should have a general understanding of the text. Mark out what you don't understand in the preview, so that you can concentrate when listening to the class; For those places that you can understand, you can give full play to your thinking ability, ask more questions and explore new ideas, which will increase your interest in learning. Only by previewing, can we "know fairly well" in the new lesson.

(2) Listen carefully and take notes appropriately. What you write and hand movements have a positive effect on thinking, which makes you full of emotions and concentrate in class and prevents your brain from falling asleep.

(3) Review in time after class to deeply understand the content of the text. Many students confuse the relationship between homework and review, and use homework instead of review. It is best to review your lessons on the same day in order to deepen and consolidate your understanding and memory of new knowledge, strengthen the internal connection between old and new knowledge, and achieve mastery. Then you can flexibly use what you have learned to do your homework.

(4) Finish homework independently on the basis of review, which is an important link to cultivate thinking ability and the ability to use knowledge flexibly to solve practical problems. Do homework must adhere to strict requirements, strive to be standardized, and the handwriting should not be sloppy. If you can't finish your homework after independent thinking, you can ask the teacher or discuss it with your classmates. However, the homework problems pointed out by others should be digested by themselves and can only be completed after they are truly understood. Don't copy other people's homework. We should always pay attention to summing up and exchanging experiences in this field.

(5) We can use some other teaching materials or counseling materials to broaden our horizons. Different teaching material analysis problems may have different perspectives, and some textbooks may be more in line with our own way of thinking, which is convenient for us to deepen our understanding of the principle.

(6) Arrange the study time reasonably to improve the study efficiency. Whether you can arrange your own study reasonably and find the time for study often becomes an important reason for the difference in academic performance among students. Learning, to conform to the law of learning, the most basic thing is to learn step by step. According to the correct learning methods to guide learning, in the lively and active learning process, better improve learning efficiency and develop intelligence. We should be brave in practice and explore our own learning methods in our study.

Second, for the study of college physics, I think there must be several important ideas in my mind:

The idea of calculus (1). An important feature of college physics is that the knowledge of differential and integral is widely used in the quantitative expression of formula derivation. So we should change our ideas and learn to think with calculus.

(2) the idea of vector. In college physics, a large number of physical quantities are expressed by vectors, so we should learn to analyze the vectors of physical quantities in appropriate coordinate systems, such as rectangular coordinate system, plane polar coordinate system, tangent normal coordinate system, spherical coordinate system and cylindrical coordinate system.

(3) The idea of the basic model. In order to simplify the analysis of problems in physics, some ideal models are often adopted, and mastering these models is conducive to deepening understanding. Such as rigid body model in mechanics, system model in heat, point charge, current element, electric dipole in electromagnetism, magnetic dipole model and so on. Of course, we can also sum up some other important ideas.

Finally, we should give full play to our imagination and spatial thinking ability. For some models, we can reflect them in kind and feel them intuitively, but there are still many models in college physics that cannot be directly reflected and must be constructed by exerting imagination.
