Yangzhou University is located in Yangzhou, the first historical and cultural city in China. It is a university jointly established by the People's Government of Jiangsu Province and the Ministry of Education, a key comprehensive university in Jiangsu Province and one of the top 100 provincial universities in Jiangsu Province. It is the first batch of doctoral and master's degree awarding units in China, and it is also the first merged university in China.
