The Institute of Information Science and Technology was established in July 2002, which was formed by the Computer Department of the Institute of Principles. There are computer science and technology department, information engineering department, e-commerce department, public teaching department, experimental teaching center, continuing education department and agricultural information research institute.

The college has a team of teachers with reasonable structure, excellent quality, full of vitality and professionalism. There are 76 faculty members, including 6 full-time teachers, 6 professors, 26 associate professors, 40 lecturers, 32 doctors, 2 doctoral supervisors and 8 master supervisors. At present, there are 797 full-time undergraduates. The college has two major disciplines: engineering and management, and four undergraduate majors: computer science and technology, information engineering, e-commerce and electronic information engineering. The college has three undergraduate majors: computer science and technology, information engineering and e-commerce, and a master's degree in agricultural information technology and computer application technology. From June 5438 to October 2004, the major of "Computer Science and Technology" was approved by the Ministry of Education and awarded the second bachelor's degree.
