Chongqing University (CQU) is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC), which was co-founded by the Ministry of Education, Chongqing Municipality and the State Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense. It is a member of the University of Excellence Alliance, the Sino-Russian Engineering University Alliance, the China-Poland University Alliance, the University Alliance along the Belt and Road, the Yangtze River-Volga River and the CDIO Engineering Education Alliance.
