Shanghai Institute of Physical Education was founded in June of 1952+ 1. 1, formerly known as East China Institute of Physical Education, and was one of the first national "double-first-class" world-class discipline construction universities. The college was directly under the State Sports General Administration. In June, 20001year, the State Council decided to transfer to Shanghai Institute of Physical Education, which was established by the State Sports General Administration and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government.

3. Wuhan Institute of Physical Education, referred to as "Wuhan Institute of Physical Education", is located in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province, with an area of 1.398 mu. It is one of the first independent full-time colleges and universities of physical education in New China.
