How is the GPA of NTU calculated?
Nanjing University implements a five-point credit system, that is, 100 is equivalent to 5 points. The GPA is the score of each exam divided by 20. The product of all grade points and credits, the sum of which is divided by the sum of credits is the grade point of this semester.

Suppose you only studied advanced mathematics, English and mathematics for 4 credits, and scored 92 points in the final exam. After conversion, the high score is 4.6, English is 3 credits, and the final exam is 70 points, which becomes 3.5 points, but what is the overall average? (4.6*4+3.5*3)/(4+3)=4. 13

Extended data:

The calculation method of NTU GPA is unique, which is different from almost all other universities. The scores are distributed within [3,5], where 3 is the GPA of the passing line and 5 is the GPA of the perfect score.

The calculation method of single subject credit is: the credit of this course = the total score of this course ÷20 (so the GPA of 60 points is 3, and the GPA of 100 points is 5)?

The calculation method of average credit score is: GPA=[ (total score of the first course × academic score ÷20)+ (total score of the second course × academic score ÷20)+ (total score of the third course × academic score ÷20)+...+ (total score of the nth course × academic score ÷ 20).

GPA scoring methods mainly include arithmetic average, weighted average, credit grade point and average credit grade point.

Arithmetic average is to add up the scores of all subjects and divide them by the number of subjects;

The weighted average score is the sum of the scores of each course multiplied by the corresponding credits of the subject, and then divided by the average of the total credits;

The sum of the credits is the sum of the credits of each course multiplied by the corresponding credits;

The average GPA is the sum of credits in each course multiplied by the corresponding GPA divided by the total credits, that is, the sum of credit GPA divided by the total credits.

Among the four grading methods, China mainly calculates the weighted average score of credits, while foreign countries adopt the five-point system, mainly using the average grade point. The sum of GPA and GPA has the same effect.
