The University of Hong Kong (HKU) is a public research university located in People's Republic of China (PRC) and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China. It was established on 19 10 on March 6/kloc-0, and was officially registered on March 30 of the following year. It is the oldest institution of higher education in Hong Kong. The University of Hong Kong was very small in its early days. From the official opening of classes in March 2002191to the first graduation ceremony in February 19 16, there were only 23 graduates. When World War II broke out, the University of Hong Kong was paralyzed for a time, and the teaching in 194 1 was completely interrupted. 1948 after classes resumed on April 9, the school entered a golden period of rapid development, with order reconstruction and structural transformation coexisting.

The campus headquarters of the University of Hong Kong is located in the plan of the University of Hong Kong, east of Pokfulam Road, south of Wen Xian Road, west of Robinson Road and north of Longhu Mountain in the west of Hong Kong Island. The Faculty of Dentistry and the Faculty of Education are located in Philip Dental Hospital in Sai Ying Pun. There are also Kadoorie Agricultural Research Institute in the New Territories and Swire Institute of Marine Science in Cape d 'Aguilar, Shek O, Hong Kong.
