Yangtze University is located in Shashi District, Jingzhou City, Hubei Province.

Yangtze University, formerly known as Hubei University, was founded in 1923. After many renaming and relocation, it was finally renamed as the present Yangtze University in 2005. At present, it covers an area of nearly 2000 mu and has two campuses, Shashi Campus and Jingzhou Campus.
