Outline of modern history of China,
Introduction to the theoretical system of Mao Zedong Thought and Socialism with Chinese characteristics,
Basic Principle of Marxism
The ideological and political course is divided into four semesters. As for the contents of these courses, everyone who has attended Markey knows that Markey spends three class hours a week introducing Marxist philosophy, telling students the historical inevitability of the emergence of Marxism, comparing it with some naive and even absurd ancient philosophy, telling you its scientific nature, and then telling you its applicability in combination with some historical events and Marxism. In a word, Markey's course is to tell you that Marxism is a correct and lofty philosophy, and why. In this course, Mao Deng-san spends four classes a week introducing a series of thoughts produced by the great Marxism after its development in China-Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory and Theory of Three Represents. This course shows that under the guidance of Marxism, our party has won revolutionary victory, realized national rejuvenation, and developed Marxism in depth in the process of practical development. In a word, this course is to tell you that Marxism has made great progress under the practice of our party and is absolutely correct. The necessity of their existence lies in "cultivating qualified builders and reliable successors of the cause of Socialism with Chinese characteristics". Obviously, the "qualified" and "reliable" mentioned here are all political. But we might as well imagine, if there is no such course, will the politics of college students fail? Every college student has similar courses in elementary school, junior high school and senior high school before entering the university, and has received this kind of education since childhood. The four ideological and political courses in colleges and universities are basically the repetition of the learning content of lower grades. So if they want to be qualified, they have already passed, and if they fail, they will not be able to teach well. We assume that a person who has no ideological and political education must be politically unqualified? In a stable and developing society, in a society with great pressure to buy a house and get employment but not hungry, most people will inevitably realize their ideal of eating and living well. What's the difference between politically qualified and unqualified? Besides, the teaching effect of this class, after learning Markey and Mao Dengsan, some students may have established lofty social ideals and mastered a higher theoretical level, but it must be said realistically that in class, the majority do not listen carefully, and according to the principle that the minority is subordinate to the majority, this course is generally not listened to. Marxism belongs to philosophy. As for Mao Dengsan, it can be regarded as politics and sociology. This kind of subject is inherently boring, and it is difficult to learn unless people who are particularly interested. Besides, who will be interested in these platitudes and boastful arguments? Marx also said that internal cause is the foundation, external cause is the condition, and external cause works through internal cause. Students are not interested in it. It is difficult to achieve the expected teaching purpose only by teacher's indoctrination and compulsory examination, and may even make students feel resistant: the better you speak, the less I believe you. I know that some things must exist for a reason; I also know that some things are not necessarily reasonable, but they exist for a long time. I also know that society is progressive, and progress is not only economic development, but also reflected in all aspects of life. We have repeatedly offered ideological and political courses since childhood. We have been told countless times that we live in a free and happy society, that our party loves the people and that the people are the masters of the country.
