National key university rankings
The national key universities are ranked as follows: Tsinghua University (first), Peking University (second), Zhejiang University (third), Shanghai Jiaotong University (fourth), Fudan University (fifth), Nanjing University (sixth), China University of Science and Technology (seventh), Huazhong University of Science and Technology (eighth), Wuhan University (ninth) and Xi Jiaotong University (tenth).

1. Tsinghua University

Tsinghua University, referred to as "Tsinghua" for short, is a sub-ministerial system directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC) and the central government, ranking among "21/project", "985 project" and "world-class university and first-class discipline". Tsinghua University's predecessor, Tsinghua Academy, was founded in 19 1 1. It was named after Shui Mu Tsinghua University. It was a preparatory school for studying in the United States established in the Qing Dynasty, and the funds for its establishment came from 1908, when the United States returned part of boxer indemnity. 19 12 was renamed Tsinghua school.

2. Peking University

Peking University, referred to as "Peking University" for short, is a university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC) and a unit directly under the central government, ranking as "2 1 1", "985 Project" and "World-class University and First-class Discipline". Peking University was founded at the time of 1898 reform and restructuring, formerly known as Shi Jing University Hall. It was the first national comprehensive university in China in modern times, and it was also the highest educational administrative organ in China at the beginning of its establishment. 19 12 changed to national Peking University. Peking University is the center of the New Culture Movement and the birthplace of the May 4th Movement.

3. Zhejiang University

Zhejiang University, referred to as "Zhejiang University" for short, was founded in 1897 and named as National Zhejiang University in 1928. 1937 Zhejiang university moved westward, running schools in Zunyi and Meitan, Guizhou, and 1946 moved back to Hangzhou in the autumn.
