Brief introduction of information management college
Institute of Information Management is the oldest and largest information management education and research institution in China. Its predecessor was 1920, which was founded by Wei Dihua, an American scholar, and Mr. Zurong Shen, the first foreign student of library science in China. 1929, it became Wuchang Wenhua Library College independently. Wuchang Wenhua Library College was merged into Wuhan University on 1953 and renamed as the Library Department of Wuhan University. 1956, the undergraduate major of library science was established. 1984 approved by the Ministry of Education, 200 1 was renamed Information Management College. The college has six undergraduate majors, including library science, information management and information system, archival science, editing and publishing, e-commerce and digital publishing, seven master's and doctor's degree programs, two first-class doctoral degree authorization programs, and 1 postdoctoral mobile station.
