Brief introduction of South China Agricultural University
South China Agricultural University, referred to as Huanong for short, is a provincial university jointly founded by the Guangdong Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. It is a "2 1 1 Project" in Guangdong Province, a high-level university in Guangdong Province, and has been selected as one of the national key discipline projects "Building a University and Building a High-level University Postgraduate" and the first batch of "Three-round Education" reform pilot universities of the Ministry of Education.
The school was founded in 1909, Guangdong agricultural experimental field and agricultural workshop. 65438-0952 The Agricultural College of Sun Yat-sen University and Lingnan University merged with the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine and the Department of Pests and Diseases of Guangxi University to form South China Agricultural College, which belongs to the Ministry of Agriculture. 1984, renamed South China Agricultural University. In 2000, the school was placed under the management of Guangdong Province by the Ministry of Agriculture.
