Cooperation and communication

By the end of 20 14, Sun Yat-sen University had signed school-level cooperation agreements with more than 200 institutions in 3/kloc-0 countries and regions, and carried out nearly 50 joint training projects and 47 exchange projects. The school has sent more than 10,000 students through various forms; About 10% of undergraduates study abroad every year. Since 2005, the school has carried out joint undergraduate and postgraduate training programs with the University of Hong Kong, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and actively encouraged short-term exchange programs with universities and educational research institutions in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.

On 20 10, the school signed a cooperation agreement with the French Civil Nuclear Engineers Teaching Union, and on 20 12, it signed a cooperation agreement with Carnegie Mellon University in the United States, establishing the Sino-French School of Nuclear Engineering and Technology of Sun Yat-sen University and the Sun Yat-sen University-Carnegie Mellon University Joint Engineering College respectively, and learning from their modes and experiences in personnel training, so as to cultivate talents in the engineering field urgently needed by the country. On March 20 13, the school signed a cooperation agreement with Johns Hopkins University in the United States to establish a long-term partnership in the field of clinical and translational research, and jointly promote the development of medical and health undertakings in the two countries and even in the whole mankind. In order to actively promote the "going out" of humanities and social sciences, on February 20 13, 13, the university signed a cooperation agreement with Leufana University in Luneburg, Germany, and jointly organized the political, philosophical and economic project of Sun Yat-sen University, integrating international high-quality education and scientific research resources, and cultivating talents with global vision and understanding of Chinese and European cultures.
