Professor Yao Kaitai 199 1 was elected as an academician of China Academy of Sciences. He is currently the director, professor and doctoral supervisor of Cancer Institute of Central South University, the vice chairman of Hunan Association for Science and Technology, the executive director of China Anti-Cancer Association, the chairman of the Cancer and Leukemia Professional Committee of National Pathophysiology Association, the chairman of Hunan Anti-Cancer Association, and a member of the discipline evaluation group of the State Council Academic Degree Committee.

Professor Xia Jiahui is the first group of young and middle-aged experts who have made outstanding contributions at the national level, and the first group enjoys special allowances from the national government. The only institute of genetic pharmacology in China was established, and the first postgraduate course of genetic pharmacology (taught in English) was opened.
