There are two vision requirements for joining the army. If you are naked, your right eye should be above 4.6 and your left eye should be above 4.5. For people with binocular correction, the vision requirement should be above 4.9.

1, general arms:

Generally speaking, college students' naked vision in the right eye is not less than 4.6, that in the left eye is not less than 4.5, and the corrected vision is above 4.8.

2, tank crew, submarine and surface ship personnel:

The naked eye vision of each eye is required to be no less than 4.8.

3. Divers, airborne troops, etc. ：

Divers, airborne troops, waitresses of special plane service teams, soldiers of the Central Guard Corps with conditions, soldiers of the public security forces with conditions, soldiers of special forces with conditions (including the Marine Corps), and members of the honor guard in the Beijing Garrison, require naked eye vision of not less than 5.0.

Joining the army process:

1, military service registration.

Citizens who register for the first time shall obtain military service certificates from the military service organs after registration, and citizens who have registered in previous years shall participate in the verification organized by the military service organs with their military service certificates.

2. Participate in the physical examination for conscription.

After taking part in military service registration, citizens who have been identified as pre-enlisted by the military service organs shall, after receiving the medical examination notice, take their ID cards, high school diplomas, military service certificates, household registration books and recent one-inch bareheaded photos to the county conscription medical examination station for medical examination within the specified time.

3. Accept political censorship.

Those who pass the medical examination shall be subject to political review by the military service organs. Citizens eligible for enlistment shall truthfully provide relevant information about themselves and their main family members.

4. Go through the enlistment formalities.

Citizens eligible for enlistment who have been approved to enlist in the army shall go through the enlistment formalities by the military service organs at the county level and issue a Notice of Citizens Eligible for enlistment. Citizens eligible for enlistment shall, after receiving the notice of enlistment, cancel their accounts, join the Party (League) and get clothes.

5. Quarantine review.

Quarantine review refers to the physical examination and political review of recruits after they arrive in the army. Those who find that their physical and political conditions do not meet the requirements within the specified time and are not suitable for serving in the army shall be sent back to their places of origin for retirement.
