1, Xi An Academy of Fine Arts
This is one of the earliest institutions of higher art in China. Founded in 1938, it was formerly the National Beiping Art College. The school has seven colleges, offering painting, sculpture, design, architecture, art theory and other majors. The school is a "first-class university construction university" in Shaanxi Province. Teachers and graduates of the school enjoy a high reputation at home and abroad, and are known as "the cradle of art education in China".
2. Baoji University of Arts and Sciences
This is a comprehensive institution of higher learning organized by the People's Government of Shaanxi Province. Chishui Vocational School was founded by 1923. The school has gone through Weinan Teachers College, Weinan Teachers College, Weinan Education College, Weinan May 7th University and other stages. In 2000, it was formed by the merger of the former Weinan Teachers College and the former Weinan Education College.
The school has four campuses, 16 secondary colleges and 63 undergraduate majors, covering nine categories: science, literature, engineering, history, management, teaching, economics, law and art. The school is a "first-class discipline construction university in China" and an "excellent undergraduate education level evaluation university" in Shaanxi Province.
3. Weinan Teachers College
This is a public university located in Weinan City, Shaanxi Province, which was founded in 1923 and formerly known as Chishui Vocational School. The school has gone through the stages of Weinan Normal College, Weinan Education College and Weinan May 7th University. In 2000, it was formed by the merger of the former Weinan Teachers College and the former Weinan Education College.
The college has four campuses, including 17 secondary colleges. The school offers 62 undergraduate majors, covering nine categories: science, literature, engineering, history, management, teaching, economics, law and art.
4.Xi Sports Institute
This is a public university with sports as its main feature. Founded in 195 1, formerly known as the Sports Training Office of Shaanxi Provincial Sports Commission. 1956 was renamed Northwest Sports Training Department, and 1960 was renamed Northwest Sports Training Department. 1993 was upgraded to the sports training department of Xi Institute of Physical Education with the approval of the State Council, and 1996 was renamed as Xi Institute of Physical Education. The college has two campuses.
