1in the middle of 983, the central government designated Huaqiao University as a "national key university". On 20 18, the school was selected as a "double-class" construction university in Fujian Province.
Huaqiao University is an ordinary institution of higher learning directly under the United Front Work Department of the Central Committee, which is jointly established by the United Front Work Department of the Central Committee, the Ministry of Education and the Fujian Provincial People's Government. It is a national Chinese education base, a national college students' cultural quality education base, a national language and writing promotion base, a national demonstration university for deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform, a national demonstration school for the reform of college teachers' assessment and evaluation, and a national heritage base for Chinese excellent traditional culture.
As of March 2023, the school has more than 2,900 faculty members. /kloc-among the more than 700 full-time teachers, 57% have senior titles, 69% have doctorates, and 64% are young and middle-aged teachers under 45. There are more than 100 double-hired academicians, national leading talents and other high-level talents, and there are many high-level teams such as the "Huang Danian-style teachers team in national universities" of the Ministry of Education and the innovation team in key areas of the "Innovative Talents Promotion Plan" of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
