On the afternoon of August 27th, 2009, Chang Tongshan, Ph.D. in Higher Education Management of the President's Office of the University of California, gave a wonderful speech to all teachers and outstanding students representing more than 500 people in the multifunctional academic lecture hall of Shandan No.1 Middle School. Starting from his own life, Dr. Chang described how he went from a shepherd boy to an internationally renowned scholar step by step. His enterprising spirit touched everyone present. Dr. Chang also introduced the experience and enlightenment of the University of California's enrollment, compared the enrollment of Chinese and American universities, expounded the evaluation method of college students' academic performance, and finally introduced the "student-centered" university education concept.

Mr. Chang Tongshan is a Red Four Laker in Shandan County. 1980 was admitted to Zhangye Normal University from Shandan No.1 Middle School and taught in Shandan No.2 Middle School after graduation. 1986 was admitted to the Education Department of Shaanxi Normal University and worked in the Education Department of Shaanxi Province after graduation. From 65438 to 0998, Professor Chang was admitted to the University of West Virginia in the United States for further study, and received a master's degree and a doctor's degree successively. Now he is an assistant to the president of the University of California, a researcher in the office of the president of the University of California, and a doctor of higher education management.

Dr. Chang is overseas and his heart is at home. Although his holiday was short and he was invited by many universities, he managed to find time to provide a vivid and cutting-edge education class for the teachers and students of his alma mater. Dr. Chang doesn't change his accent, which sounds very kind. Teachers and students are proud of having such excellent alumni. Students have expressed that they want to learn from Professor Chang, learn from his enterprising spirit, seriously understand the profound truth that knowledge can change fate, study hard, become a talent at an early date, and serve the motherland.
