There are subsidies for going to college in rural areas.

Student-origin credit student loan. Students can voluntarily apply for state grants from the school after entering the school. Candidates can get the national inspirational scholarship through excellent results after applying for financial aid for poor college students. Full-time undergraduate students (including higher vocational colleges and undergraduate students) who are newly enrolled in poor families with a file card will continue to be funded until the end of their studies.

Legal basis:

Article 2 of the Interim Measures for Social Assistance points out that the social assistance system adheres to the principles of supporting the bottom, emergency and sustainability, and is connected with other social security systems, and the level of social assistance is compatible with the level of economic and social development. Social assistance should follow the principles of openness, fairness, impartiality and timeliness.

Article 3 of the "Interim Measures for Social Assistance", the civil affairs department of the State Council shall co-ordinate the construction of the national social assistance system. The State Council civil affairs, emergency management, health, education, housing and urban construction, human resources and social security, medical security and other departments are responsible for the corresponding social assistance management according to their respective responsibilities.

The departments of civil affairs, emergency management, health, education, housing and urban construction, human resources and social security, medical security and other departments of the local people's governments at or above the county level shall be responsible for the corresponding social assistance management within their respective administrative areas.

The administrative departments listed in the preceding two paragraphs are collectively referred to as social assistance management departments.

"Interim Measures for Social Assistance" Article 4 Township people's governments and sub-district offices shall be responsible for the acceptance, investigation and examination of social assistance applications, and the specific work shall be undertaken by social assistance institutions or managers. Villagers' committees and residents' committees shall assist in the relevant social assistance work.

"Interim Measures for Social Assistance" Article 34 education aid shall, according to the needs of different stages of education, take measures such as reducing or exempting relevant expenses, granting grants, giving living allowances, and arranging work-study programs to ensure the basic learning and living needs of the targeted residents in education aid.

"Interim Measures for Social Assistance" Article 36 An application for education aid shall be submitted to the school in accordance with the relevant provisions of the state, and shall be implemented by the school in accordance with the relevant provisions of the state after examination and confirmation according to the prescribed procedures.
