Shenyang University, 1905, which originated from Fengtian Higher Technical School, was selected into the national "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan" and is a first-class discipline construction university in Liaoning Province.

From the national ranking, Shenyang University ranked 30 1 in China University of Soft Science in 2020, slightly higher than Wuyi University and Jiaxing College, and slightly lower than northwest university of politics and law and Jiangsu Institute of Technology, making it the 29th highest institution in Liaoning.
