Tianjin Normal University was founded in 1958, formerly known as Tianjin Normal University, and 196 1 merged into Tianjin Normal University. 1982 The school was renamed Tianjin Normal University. 1In April, 1999, the former Tianjin Normal University, Tianjin Normal University and Tianjin Institute of Education merged to form a new Tianjin Normal University.
