Introduction of East China Normal University
East China Normal University is a comprehensive research university sponsored by the state, headed by the Ministry of Education, and jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. The school was founded in19511June 1 6, relying on Daxia University (1924).
Guanghua University (1925) as the foundation, and transferred to some departments of St. John's University, Fudan University, Tongji University, Zhejiang University and other universities, and founded on the original site of Daxia University. 1959 school was identified by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China as one of the national 16 key institutions.
