China Communication University is a first-class discipline construction university directly under the Ministry of Education, focusing on' 211project' and' 985 innovation platform for advantageous disciplines'. The school was founded in 1954, and was renamed China Communication University by Beijing Broadcasting Institute in August 2004.
The school is the teaching steering committee of journalism and communication specialty in colleges and universities of the Ministry of Education and the chairman of the teaching steering committee of animation and digital media specialty. Journalism and communication, drama and film and television are two national first-class disciplines, journalism and communication, radio and television art are two national key disciplines, communication 1 national key cultivation discipline, Internet information and cultural industry are two Beijing high-tech disciplines, and journalism and communication, art theory, drama and film and television are three Beijing first-class disciplines. Linguistics and applied linguistics, communication and information system, electromagnetic field and microwave technology, and animation are 2 disciplines, 4 key disciplines, 7 post-doctoral research stations, 8 first-class disciplines authorized by doctoral degrees, 19 first-class disciplines authorized by master degrees,1/professional master categories, and 84 undergraduate majors. In the fourth round of national discipline evaluation organized by the Center for Degree and Postgraduate Education Development of the Ministry of Education, journalism and communication, drama and film and television in our school were rated as A+ disciplines, and art theory was rated as A- disciplines.
