Jinsong Hu, born in 1963, is from Shashi, Hubei. Bachelor of Education from Huazhong Normal University, Master of Education from Beijing Normal University, Ph.D. from Free University of Berlin, Germany. He used to be a teaching assistant and lecturer in Beijing Normal University. He used to be assistant dean and vice president of the School of Education Science of South China Normal University.

He is currently a professor at the Institute of Education Management of South China Normal University, a doctoral supervisor, and the convener of the doctoral guidance group of education leadership science. At the same time, he served as the executive director of the National Education Policy and Law Research Committee and a member of the "Fifth Five-Year Plan" senior lecturer group in Guangdong Province. Mainly engaged in educational law and comparative education management research.
