From 65438 to 0935, the situation in Beijing became more and more critical. In order to prevent unexpected unfavorable situation, Tsinghua University secretly plans to move the school to Changsha, Hunan. At that time, the school allocated a huge sum of money to start the construction of a complete set of school buildings at Zuojialong (now located in Central South University) at the foot of Yuelu Mountain in Changsha, and it is expected to be completed and put into use in early 1938. 1On April 26th, 935, Chiang Kai-shek, Executive Dean of the National Government, visited Hunan. Zhu Jingnong, director of Hunan Education Department, presented "State Affairs" of Hunan University to Chiang Kai-shek. Jiang said: "Hunan University is very good at changing the country, and it is best to merge with Tsinghua." Zhu Jingnong immediately complained that the historical relationship between the two universities was different, so it seemed inconvenient to merge. Jiang said: "After returning to Beijing, we will discuss this decision with Minister Wang." . In the winter of the same year, Tsinghua University secretly transported several trains of books, instruments and other teaching and research necessities from Tsinghua Park Railway Station to Hankou, Hubei Province for temporary storage, which can be transported to the new school site at any time. Because the school building built in Tsinghua was not completed before, the school site finally decided to rent the Hunan Bible College in Changsha Leek Garden, with the engineering college in Yuelu College of Hunan University and the literature college in Hengshan, Hunan. Hu Shi is the dean of the College of Arts, but he hasn't arrived yet.
