The University of Tsukuba is one of the oldest universities in Japan, and its predecessor can be traced back to Tokyo Normal School founded by 1872. 1949, implemented a new academic system and changed its name to Tokyo University of Education. 1September, 1967, the Japanese cabinet approved 36 institutions including Tokyo University of Education to relocate to Tsukuba. 1972 in may, the Japanese cabinet decided to move 42 institutions including the new university of Tsukuba (tentative name) as research and education institutions to Tsukuba research park city. 1973 10, University of Tsukuba was founded. A. University graduates or students about to graduate.
