Chongqing Vocational College of Mechanical and Electrical Technology is the second one.

Chongqing Vocational College of Electromechanical Technology was founded in 197 1. It is the backbone vocational college in Chongqing, the first batch of pilot units of vocational school reform at undergraduate level in China, and the first college in Chongqing to train non-commissioned officers of the China People's Liberation Army.

Chongqing Vocational College of Electromechanical Technology, founded in 197 1, formerly known as Chongqing Ordnance Industry Workers College, is composed of eight vocational universities including Chang 'an, Jiangling, Jialing, Jianshe, Changjiang, Wangjiang, Xi Che and Lu Hua.

In 2003, it was established and upgraded to a higher vocational college on the basis of Chongqing Military Engineering Vocational College, and changed its name to Chongqing Electromechanical Vocational College. On 20181June 12, the Ministry of Education decided that this school was a pilot school for private undergraduate vocational education. On 201August 5438+February 09 65438, this school was upgraded to a higher vocational school at the undergraduate level. On May 27th, 20 19, the school was renamed Chongqing Vocational and Technical College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.

In June 2020, the official website of the school showed that the school was located in Bishan District, Chongqing, with a campus area of 904 mu and a construction area of 260,000 square meters. There are 546 faculty members, including 477 full-time teachers. The school has 12 secondary colleges, 17 undergraduate majors and 16 specialist majors, with more than 8,000 students.
