The conversion method between 7 10 and 100 (attached table)-released in 2005-12-3117: 24: 00 Morning News Since June this year, the CET-4 and CET-6 have adopted a new scoring system and reported it. The detailed answers to the exam of 65438+February 24th have been announced. How to get a score of 7 10 according to your own answers? Relevant experts have made a detailed interpretation of this.
What is the score of 7 10?
"Since June this year, the scores of CET-4 and CET-6 will be reported as normal scores with a mean value of 500 and a standard deviation of 70 after data processing such as weighting, equivalence and norm conversion." This is a description of the scoring method issued by the National College English Test Band 4 and Band 6, but these statistical terms are really difficult to understand.
Chief Shen of the Examination Department of the Provincial Department of Education explained this. According to him, when calculating the scores of CET-4 and CET-6, we should first take some school papers as samples, make a concrete analysis of the samples, and then calculate the proportion of each question in the whole test paper after processing the statistical data such as "weighting, equivalence and norm conversion", convert the number of components, and get the scores of each question, and then add them to get the final score.
CET-4 and CET-6 have published a comparison table, through which candidates can get the final score of 7 10. In the comparison table, the full score of each part is 7 1, and there are corresponding scores for how many questions are answered correctly. This score is multiplied by 10 and multiplied by the proportion of this item in the whole test paper, which is the score of each item. For example, according to the proportion of listening part accounting for 20%, the perfect score of 20 questions is 142. If the examinee answers 17 correctly and the score in the comparison table is 60, then 60× 10×0.2= 120.
Why is the final score different from the calculated one?
According to this calculation method, candidates can easily calculate the final score by comparing the correct rate of the answers, but Chief Shen said, "The whole calculation process is very complicated, and the score of 7 10 can not be obtained simply from the comparison table. For example, in a question type, two people who answer four questions correctly may have different final scores, because each question accounts for a different proportion in the whole test paper, and candidates cannot know this proportion in detail.
Mr. Shen said, "The comparison table can only serve as a reference." In other words, the score calculated by yourself will be basically the same as the final score, but the score of candidates on the edge of the "qualified line" is useless, and it is still unknown whether they can pass.
Is the "qualified line" of Level 4 still 425 points?
After the reform of the grading system for CET-4 and CET-6, there is no fixed passing line for CET-6, and the examination committee will determine a score according to the overall situation of the previous CET-4. In June this year, the qualification line announced by the examination Committee was 425 points.
Are the test scores the same in the second half of the year? According to Shen Kechang of the Examination Department of the Provincial Education Department, after the examination of CET-4 and CET-6 in June 5438+February, the National Examination Committee will also set a qualification line for applying for CET-6, which may be 425 points, but the specific score still needs to be determined after comprehensive examination results. Old question type, new scoring method
Part I-Listening: The score is × 10× 0.2 = standard score (142 ~ 58).
Part II-Reading: The score is × 10× 0.4 = standard score (284 ~ 1 16).
Part III-Vocabulary: score × 10× 0. 15 = score (106.5 ~ 43.5 points).
The fourth part-cloze/error correction/translation/short answer: score × 10× 0. 1 = score (7 1 ~ 29 points).
Part V-Writing: the score × 10× 0. 15 = the score (106.5 ~ 43.5).
Taking reading as an example, 20 reading questions account for 40% of the total score (710 ~ 290), and the standard score after conversion of reading questions should be between 284 ~ 1 16. If all the 20 questions are correctly answered, the score is 7 1, and the converted standard score is 284 according to the conversion table between the score and the standard score. If you answer 9 questions incorrectly, the score is 44, and the converted standard score is 132. If all the answers are wrong, the score is 29, and the standard score is 1 16.
In order to avoid mistakes, it is best to adopt a new scoring method directly.
