Jiangsu Police Officer College is the only public security political and legal undergraduate college in Jiangsu Province, and it is also the first provincial public security undergraduate college established in China. The history of the college can be traced back to Nanjing Public Security School, which was founded in June 1949 and renamed Jiangsu Public Security School 1953 in August. Longtan campus

Longtan campus teaching building, office complex, student apartment building, auditorium, canteen and other teaching, office and living facilities are all available, and modern teaching infrastructure such as computer room, language lab, multimedia classroom, electronic reading room and audio-visual classroom is fully functional. Pukou Campus is located in the administrative and cultural center of Pukou New District in Nanjing, adjacent to Pearl Spring Scenic Area and Laoshan National Forest Park. The campus covers an area of 153.5 mu, with a total construction area of 29,740.6 square meters. The campus was established in June 2000 and enrolled full-time undergraduates in 2002.
