Sculptor Hong Wei-The Power of Meditation
Hong Wei, a sculptor, lives and works in Beijing and new york. Graduated from Sculpture Department of Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2005; In 2007, he graduated from the School of Art and Design, Alfred University, and stayed as a teacher. Hong Wei currently teaches at the Academy of Fine Arts of Capital Normal University; Since 2009, he has been a visiting scholar at the School of Art and Design of Alfred University. 20 15 was invited to be a visiting artist at Harvard university. Member of UNESCO International Ceramics Association, China Sculpture Society and French Taylor Foundation (founded in 1844).
His works are collected by Boston Art Museum, Chicago Art Museum and Santangelo Art Museum in Texas. His works have been exhibited in China Art Museum, Louvre, Chicago Art Museum, University of Pennsylvania Fox Art Museum, Dublin Castle and other art institutions. 20 13 won the Taylor prize, the highest prize in sculpture category of French international salon, and the chairman of the jury, Michelle?
