Scientific research achievements of Beijing Normal University College of Literature
In recent years, the College of Literature of Beijing Normal University has undertaken more than 50 national and provincial scientific research projects (including inscriptions in the Ming Dynasty, electronic collection and attribute description of handwritten documents, research on major issues in the creation and adaptation of historical themes, China's large character set creation project, ethnic research on Marxist literary theory in the 20th century, reform and practice of flexible academic system in China universities, cultural transformation and literature in the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China, history of Chinese folk literature, etc.). Major projects of the National Social Science Fund, such as "History of Japanese Literature on China", key projects of humanities and social sciences of the Ministry of Education and major key research projects, have won more than 30 national and provincial scientific research awards, published more than 400 academic monographs, and published nearly 2,000 papers in important journals. According to the evaluation results of the Institute of Degree and Postgraduate Education Evaluation of institutions of higher learning and research of the Ministry of Education in 2004, the comprehensive strength of Chinese subject of Beijing Normal University ranks second in the country, with two full marks in four evaluations.
