A survey of 22 provinces and cities in China shows that the detection rate of behavior problems of children and adolescents in China is 12.97%, especially in interpersonal relationship, emotional stability and learning adaptation. College students with anxiety, fear, neurasthenia and depression account for more than 16% of the total number of students. The mental health status of children and adolescents is a matter of great concern to both developed and developing countries. There are 340 million 17 minors in Chinese mainland. In recent ten years, social factors such as the rapid development of social economy and the increasing competitive pressure in China have led to an obvious increase in children's behavior problems and mental health problems of college and middle school students. Some experts predict that by 2020, the total disease burden in China will increase from the current 1/5 to about 1/4.

"China Youth Daily" reported that in the face of the rapid acceleration of China's modernization process and the obvious increase of psychological problems, China's mental health work team lacks adequate preparation in terms of talents and funds.

Experts pointed out that in view of the mental health problems of children and adolescents, we should rely on the existing work team and network of the school, and under the guidance of mental health professionals, carry out targeted mental health education for students, so as to institutionalize and standardize the construction of psychological counseling team in the school, and gradually realize that all counseling staff are trained and certified to ensure their theoretical knowledge and skill level, so that it is entirely possible for students to find psychological diseases and psychological and behavioral problems in time and deal with them properly.
