How to eliminate troubles
Greed, greed, stupidity, slowness and doubt "five fallacies" (confusion) can only be eliminated by cultivation. Body view, side view, Jaken, seeing and taking view, and forbidding taking view are called "five benefits" (see confusion), which can only be broken when seeing the Tao. Five outspoken ambassadors and five helpful ambassadors are collectively called the top ten puzzles. The ancient poem goes: "The earth endures, and the sky endures;" One day both will end, and this endless sadness will last forever. The same is true of troubles. From small to large, people's troubles can be said to be endless and endless. Where does the trouble come from? General induction can be said to come from ignorance. Ignorance, so wisdom is not enough to understand reason and solve problems; Ignorance, so the mind is not right, too many demands, can not be satisfied, and even often "nothing is difficult in the world, I am afraid of a willing mind", asking for it. What is this? There are four suggestions: first, we must reflect on ourselves: if we can reflect on ourselves, we will reduce our troubles and constantly purify and change from reflection. Liu Bei's introspection is not as wise as Cao Cao's, so he invited Xu Shu, Zhuge Liang and other counselors, and later achieved three points in the world. Yuan Lefan, a layman, used his own merits to reflect on himself and even changed his destiny. Can reflect, can eliminate troubles, self-reform, and achieve career. Second, learn to teach yourself: Goodwin said, "Gold still needs to be forged in the furnace, and white jade still needs to be polished by his skillful hands. "If we can stand the test, our troubles will not help us. To temper yourself, you can start with self-study. Zhu Yuanzhang, the emperor of the right son of heaven, did not forget to study during the war, snared Confucian scholars and became the founding overlord; Zeng Guofan of the Qing Dynasty never let go, and Zhang Rongfa, the president of the approachable Evergreen Group, also read all the books. They constantly studied themselves and made great achievements. Especially in modern times, we advocate all-round learning and lifelong learning, so as to get rid of troubles and get out of our own life path. Third, be able to endure yourself: how can I get rid of my troubles? Self-restraint As the saying goes: "Hold your breath and be calm; Step back and think about it. There are many troubles in the world. As long as you are patient, you can endure hunger, hunger, heat and cold. Yes, no, even in one breath, you can identify, deal with and destroy them. Zhou Yu couldn't stand Zhuge Liang, and as a result, he was angry with himself. Born in a slum, Andersen can endure the exclusion and bullying of others, maintain optimism and perseverance, and become a generation of writers. Therefore, "forbearance" is very powerful and can eliminate troubles. Fourth, be self-critical: how to eliminate troubles? Self-criticism. Bill Gates, the richest man in the world, said, "Conscious people can criticize themselves objectively. Ellison, another former richest man in the world, also said, "People must be open, self-critical and completely honest. People should be able to self-criticize and improve themselves, so that they can see their troubles clearly, further resolve their troubles and constantly improve their progress. Otherwise, blindly accusing and criticizing others will not only help, but will only cause more trouble. Ancient saints, who smell joy, are good at eliminating evil. A wise man should manage himself well, be introspective and wise, and improve himself, so that he will not have troubles. And then what? The above four points are all good methods. First, we should be able to reflect on ourselves, second, we should be able to teach ourselves, third, we should be able to endure ourselves, and fourth, we should be able to criticize ourselves. We don't understand and know things, which can also be said to be ignorance. When we are stupid, we often do all kinds of stupid things. For example, when we see a person suffering from illness, we sympathize with him and think that he will die anyway. It is better to destroy other people's morality and let him get rid of it as soon as possible. This is stupid. Because we don't understand that illness comes around, and just because we took his life, we will never be free. He will suffer so much in this life that he can't escape, because he is not sensible, so he becomes stupid. Fourth, slow: compare yourself with others, and you will feel arrogant in your heart. This is called slow. There are many kinds of slowness, and the most common one is "self-esteem". When you are worse than others, things fail, others laugh at you, and your heart is full, you will feel distressed and feel equal to him. This is slow. The "slow" psychology of all beings can be divided into three situations: ① Your status and reputation are higher than others, and you also think that you are higher than others. Your status and reputation are equal to others, but you feel higher than others. Your status and reputation are lower than others, but you think you are equal to others or higher than others. Slowness is the result of comparing yourself with others. For example, people have cars, but I don't. I don't think anyone else is great I just don't want to buy it. This is slowness-being equal to others, but thinking you are greater than others. For another example, all believers who come here to listen to Buddhism are equal. Suppose one of them is a college student, he may think he is a college student, and slow down-he is taller than others and thinks he is better than others. But when he comes home and goes into the kitchen, his mother may say, What's so great about you as a college student? You can't cook or cook, or I am good (slow)-lower than others, I am definitely better than others. Therefore, the slow mind is born by comparing one's own strengths with others' weaknesses, and the high slow mind is born from this. Fifth, doubt: I often hesitate about the truth. According to historical records, Sakyamuni Buddha became a Buddha more than two thousand years ago, freeing himself from life and death. However, how do you think that you can get rid of life and death if you have troubles? The psychology of not believing in this truth is called doubt. This kind of doubt makes us unable to accept the truth. It is not that the truth is beyond doubt, but that we have doubts about everything, which is a kind of trouble. For example, if I tell you that my usual surname is "Su", some people will believe me, but some people will say, "Is it Su?" This suspicion is a worry in his heart. There is also an analogy: "American astronauts landed on the moon." Someone listened and said, "Is it true?" He doesn't want to find the answer at all. If he doesn't understand, he will have doubts directly. This "suspicious" psychological state is trouble. We can be skeptical about certain things until we really understand them. When we really understand it thoroughly, we can accept it and believe it. This skeptical attitude is acceptable to Buddhism. Buddhist scriptures say that if a person does not realize the first fruit, he will have some doubts about the four noble truths and the three treasures. We can keep this problem, but it prevents us from achieving the initial results. Some people say that they believe in a certain practice method, but after a long period of practice, if they don't realize it, they will have doubts and doubts. This doesn't mean that he didn't have doubts about a certain practice method from the beginning, but his doubts were covered up by self-confidence. "Doubt" is a deep worry and one of the fundamental worries. For example, some people have confidence in the practice of "four thoughts". He spent more than ten years studying, but he didn't achieve anything, so he doubted this practice. Because there is no enlightenment, it is even more doubtful whether the results of enlightened people's practice enlightenment are true. This is the trouble of doubt. Generally speaking, it is not easy to find ordinary people who are deeply "suspicious" and worried. Only through the tempering of practice and troubles can we know whether we are convinced of the truth of Buddhism. Those who hold the first fruits of the certificate should avoid seeing and see the world clearly, so they have no doubt about Buddhism. 6. Incorrect view: Incorrect view on cause and effect. 1. Personal experience: There is a body and mind in the world, which is called "ego". There are two kinds of egoism: in behavior, egoism is "I am slow"; As far as thinking is concerned, the ego is called "I see", also called "I see". I don't force myself to listen to the words of non-me, believe in non-me, and make sure that the truth of non-me is correct, so I won't have this trouble, just let go of it. My obsession with "I am slow" is a deep-rooted worry in our hearts. When we encounter anything, there will be an internal and external opposition. Outside is outside, and inside is me. Because of my persistence, I will have the idea of being afraid of death, and I will have troubles such as greed, jealousy and stupidity. For example, a person who believes in the truth of "no self" will be afraid of death when threatened by a knife. This fear of death is not my opinion, but my dullness. "I am slow" can not be broken by listening to reason, but by practicing Buddhism; "I see" is a kind of ideological trouble, which can be eliminated by knowing the truth of the ego. (2) Looking from the side: Because the body sight is intermittent and common to me, it is called "looking from the side". I see it first, and then I see it. I cling to an eternal me in the world and think that after I die, I will get rid of everything. This is called "breaking my mind". ③ Jaken: Slander has no cause and effect (cause and effect), no effect (reincarnation, parents) and no facts (Buddha, arhat). Defamation without cause and fruit, all kinds of Jaken. It is believed that there is no reward for doing good and no result for doing bad things without reward. Some people think that people are born for no reason, that is, parents are born; It is "fruitless" after death. Some people think that killing chickens and ducks does not need to be reported. Chickens and ducks are born for people to eat, "fruitless". There are three worlds in the world, namely the past world, the present world and the future world, but he does not believe that both of them are "useless"; The three treasures and four noble truths mentioned by the Buddha were slandered as "untrue". 4, forbidden to see: holding improper commandments. Some people hold a cowshed and think that cows should eat grass, because it is not fatal. Some people think cows are clean, so they eat beef instead of pork. These are all "forbidden". ⑤ Take the view from what you see: Take all views as what you have seen, think that this view is the most superior and correct, and a struggle will arise. This is called "taking the view from what you see". I think the first four opinions are the most correct, and I have seen them; For example, you think that people have died once and for all, which is the "broken view" in From the Side, but you are right to insist on this view. This persistence is called "visible". People in the world often cling to their own ideas and opinions, which are right, others are wrong, and even the right ones are right. It's also the trouble of watching and watching, not my opinion. The greed, anger and delusion in these six fundamental troubles are called the three poisons. Second, accompanying troubles: accompanying troubles are troubles that are accompanied by fundamental troubles, and there are twenty * * *. First, a small trouble: the lines are contrary to each other, resulting in their own. 1. Anger: I can't stand the current adversity and am worried. 2, hate: I am worried about the past adversity, I am obsessed with it, and I am very worried. For example, if someone scolds you now, you can do something else and ignore him, and then you will feel disgusted when you think about it. A grumpy person gets angry easily; A generous and rude person will be fine if he is angry. They resent more and resent less. People who are shrewd are less angry when they encounter adversity. He was not born with a grudge. Now someone says a few words to him, and he seems to be fine. Later, the more he thinks about it, the more he hates it. People in China say that women hold a grudge for three years, which means that women keep things in their hearts and never forget them. This is the psychology of hate. (3) Anger: After resentment, the more you think about it, the more uncomfortable it is. Your body and mind are irritable and feverish, your heart is racing, your blood is boiling, you harass others with rude words and deeds, or you curse others with harsh words and expressions, which makes others upset. (4) Injury: After being annoyed, there is no sadness and love, and people are often hurt by attacks such as killing and intimidation. It seems that he is not good to me and I am unfair to him. The difference between worry and injury: Some people worry less about "injury" and are bullied by others, but they will only "worry" there. Even if you are bitter, you dare not harm others. Such people are people with conscience and compassion. Because they dare not hurt others, they have no resistance. On the contrary, some people have to deal with others after their own troubles, which is a change from "annoyance" to "harm"; Some people are cruel. They passed by and saw some small animals like cats and dogs, so they kicked them for no reason. This is not annoying, but harmful and unsympathetic. When you see snakes and cockroaches, you must kill them; Seeing cockroaches is annoying, because they are annoying, angry and annoying, so they fight; But if you see a frog, you must kill it, which is harmful to your heart. Some people in this world are unsympathetic and often hurt others. ⑤ Jealousy: that is, jealousy. I can't stand other people's achievements, and I'm worried about winning. Some people are jealous of others' reputation, status, wealth, etc. Jealous that others are more beautiful than themselves; Other people's children are smarter than their own children; Other people's achievements are praised, which makes you jealous and so on. This worry has nothing to do with others. No one bothers you, but I can't stand others being superior to you. I'm jealous. 6. False exaggeration, or pretending to be talented and virtuous by words and deeds to deceive others' fame and fortune. For example, you don't know when others ask questions, but in order to show that you are knowledgeable, you will answer without thinking; Or pretend that you are capable of doing things when you are incapable. Even a man without virtue is manifested in all kinds of false behaviors, which makes people think that he has virtue. This is also called Kuang. This kind of worry has the psychology of deceiving others. ⑦ Flattery: Cover up your mistakes with words and deeds, flatter others, and do not damage fame and fortune. This is to win the trust of others, and flattery is also a kind of flattery. After doing something wrong, children often behave well because they are afraid of being beaten. This is the flattering mentality. 8. reply: reply is not the inner good or evil, but the regret of doing something wrong, but keeping it from others for fear of damaging your fame and fortune. For example, after abstinence, I thought it was a good thing that no one knew. This is the trouble of abstinence. The difference between flattery: flattery is to cover up his own shortcomings, and he doesn't want others to know that he has no special intentions for others; Flattery means that when you know someone can give you benefits, you hide your mistakes and let the other person believe you, hoping to get benefits from it. 9. Pride: I am happy with my achievements. Most beautiful women are arrogant: even some women with only a little beauty are arrogant after dressing up beautifully; Or some people can sew clothes and get a haircut, and when they are done, they brag everywhere and are very satisfied with their achievements. This is arrogance. Arrogance and dullness are different. Arrogance means that you have made achievements in your work and have a proud heart. Slow is to compare with others by your own ability, feel better than others, and be proud. Attending, ┇: What you don't want to give. Misery is a kind of meanness formed by greed, but meanness is different from greed. "Greedy" means wanting more; "Yan" means that you have a lot of property and are reluctant to give it to others. Some people are greedy and not stingy; However, greedy people must be greedy, and greedy people are not necessarily greedy; Because some people are greedy for money and others come to beg, he is willing to give alms; People are insatiable, where are they willing to give it to others? Therefore, people are reluctant to share their property, knowledge and ability with others. People are the easiest to collect things. It is painful to see someone begging from them because they think their possessions have decreased. Second, with troubles: with all the unkindness. When troubles arise, there are bad things in my heart, because there is no shame in my heart, so let other troubles continue to move. 1. No sense of shame: no self-esteem, no self-reflection, no shame for your own shortcomings and deficiencies. Suppose the thief repents after self-reflection, which is called shame. 2. Innocence: I am not ashamed of my mistakes and shortcomings. Others accuse me of criticizing me. Suppose a person wants to steal something and gives up the idea of stealing because he is afraid that others will know. This is called shame. Large, medium and small faults are classified according to their difficulty. In a person's practice, it is difficult to get rid of small troubles, medium troubles, big troubles and fundamental troubles. If a yogi still has troubles such as anger and hatred, there are other worries related to meditation. Third, the big worry: one * * * has eight kinds, and everything pollutes the heart. 1. Don't believe: you can't believe the truth, virtue and ability of the four noble truths and the three treasures (truth, merit and cultivation). I don't believe in the truth, the merit of Sambo, and the ability to practice and free others. 2. Slack: It is lazy not to work hard on the good things that have been done and not done. Unwilling to do good deeds; I don't want to break bad things. Lazy people don't want to do things and love to rest; People who meditate or recite Buddha often fall asleep because of laziness. 3. Relax: Don't be wary of trouble, don't restrain yourself, and indulge yourself in starting a business. Similar to being lazy. Laziness is laziness; Letting go is greed, greed and madness that drive you not to do it. For example, if you are told to sit still now, you will be greedy to watch the play tomorrow, just sit there and think about it, and you will be released because of greed; For another example, if you hate a person, you think of him when you can't sit still. The more you think about it, the more angry you get, so you relax and simply don't sit down. Relaxed people like to do what they want. 4, groggy: in observation, the mind is groggy and can't know. Because we don't have enough heart to maintain the state we want to repair, it will hinder us from repairing various opinions. For example, when someone is sitting quietly, he practices the concept of counting interest, counting from one to ten, but suddenly he is unconscious and nods frequently, as if he were going to fall asleep. This is called fainting. ⑤ Lack of thought: I can't remember what I observed clearly. There is no way to grasp the present and present thoughts, and I can't remember them. If you focus on your eyebrows for a short time, you will go somewhere else and forget that your thoughts are between your eyebrows. The difference between thinking loss and sleepiness: both thinking loss and sleepiness can't remember what just happened. I was conscious when I lost my mind, but I thought about it; Dizziness is confusion, vagueness and ignorance. 6, scattered: the inner thoughts are flying, scattered and messy. Such scattered troubles are all caused by madness. Buddha said that our hearts are jumping like monkeys, and now put them between our eyebrows. The result is that our thoughts are scattered and messy because of the lack of thoughts. Scattering is not only about the situation just now, but also the mind has been changing, and the trend of thought has fluctuated, thinking about this and thinking about that at once; Not when you are absent-minded. For example, when you are meditating, it suddenly occurs to you that there is one more thing to do, how to arrange and deal with it, and your mind goes to that thing. This is a loss of mind, but it is not scattered. 7. Fall off: I feel uneasy during observation and often recall the past. For example, I did a pleasure today, and I kept thinking about it when I sat still, thinking about it from time to time. When a person wants to enter the second Zen after practicing Yi Chan, he will always recall the realm of Yi Chan, which is called falling off. 8. Incorrect knowledge: You can't see what you have observed correctly and clearly; I don't know where I am. For example, when you sit still and observe your breathing, you can't know the difference and the thickness of your breath. Third, summary: First, the birth of troubles: there are troubles in the heart, and now all kinds of realms are karma, and karma encounters troubles, and those who have no troubles have no self-nature. Second, the elimination of troubles: incorrect opinions and doubts will not arise immediately after seeing the Tao, and the rest of the troubles must be eliminated one by one through monasticism. After awakening, you can always observe with wisdom. When you have mindfulness and correct knowledge, you have no chance to have troubles. If mindfulness is clear, trouble will never be born, that is, trouble will be broken. Third, troubles are bitter, and bitterness does not necessarily have troubles. Lohan, who has realized that Nirvana is still suffering, was still suffering before entering Nirvana. The seeds of karma are accepted quickly with the help of troubles, creating new disasters. The seeds of karma can't grow without worry, but they can't be destroyed.
