Hohai University, referred to as "HHU" for short, is a comprehensive national key university directly under the Ministry of Education, featuring water conservancy, taking engineering as an advantage, and coordinated development of multiple disciplines. It was jointly built by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Water Resources, the State Oceanic Administration and the People's Government of Jiangsu Province. It is the first unit in China that has the right to award doctoral, master's and bachelor's degrees, and it is a national "double-class" construction university.

3. Port Coastal and Offshore Engineering College: majoring in port waterway and coastal engineering.
4. Business School: majors include engineering management, information management and information system, financial management, business administration, marketing, accounting, human resource management, e-commerce, international economy and trade, and economics.
5. School of Environment: majors include environmental engineering, water supply and drainage science and engineering, environmental science and environmental ecological engineering.
