Tibet University, located in Lhasa, Xizang Autonomous Region, is a comprehensive university affiliated to Xizang Autonomous Region. It is a national "2 1 1 project" key construction university and a world-class discipline construction university. 20 13 was included in the Revitalization Plan of Higher Education in the Midwest, and 20 18 became a university jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Xizang Autonomous Region.

Since 1999, Xizang Autonomous Region Art School, Tibet Medical College, Medical Department of Tibet University for Nationalities, Xizang Autonomous Region College of Finance and Economics and Tibet Agriculture and Animal Husbandry College have successively merged into Tibet University, and entered a new stage of establishing a comprehensive university with regional ethnic characteristics.

discipline construction

The school has three first-level disciplines of ethnology, Chinese language and literature and ecology, 2 1 first-level disciplines of master's degree and 14 professional master's degree. Ecology and China Language and Literature (Tibetan Language and Literature) are two national key disciplines, and 14 autonomous region-level key disciplines. Ecology has been selected into the ranks of world-class discipline construction.

There are 53 undergraduate majors in the school, including economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, medicine, management, art and so on 10. Seven majors, including law, China minority languages and literature, computer science and technology, fine arts, economics, physics and environmental science, have been selected as national first-class undergraduate majors.1
