In order to know more about students' after-school life, we conducted a questionnaire survey among some freshmen in Zhejiang University of Finance. A total of 1000 questionnaires were sent out in this survey, and 950 questionnaires were recovered, with a recovery rate of 95%. In the valid questionnaire, it is found that 27.2% of the students think that their spare time is very substantial, while 7 1.4% of the students say that their spare time is boring. This result shows that there are many problems in the extracurricular life of students in higher vocational colleges. The specific analysis is as follows:
1, quite a few college students don't know how to arrange their leisure time reasonably and scientifically, so that they can live a full and meaningful life; They are blind in the arrangement of their spare time, follow the crowd, do nothing, and waste their spare time.
Walking on campus on weekends and holidays rarely finds students, especially in teaching parks. There are not many students in the huge library, study room and gym, and the facilities and resource utilization rate open to students are quite low. The survey shows that 5.6% students will go to the reading room to read books on weekends; 38.4% of the students can read in the dormitory; Students who can practice skills account for11.7% of the total number; 22.9% of the students can go to the gym to exercise; Only 1.2% students participated in the social activities of the training course. The proportion of people who "go to other schools to find old classmates to play" and "catch up on sleep or surf the Internet or go shopping" is quite high. Some people play poker or games in the dormitory even if they don't sleep late or go shopping, mainly to kill time.
2. Lack of motivation in after-school study and low interest in reading. Quite a few college students are only content with a little knowledge of their own professional studies. "The exam is enough, as long as they can pass." Reading is the main way for college students to use their spare time, but the answer is not optimistic. In the extracurricular reading survey, it is found that students who read a lot account for 3.3% of the total number. Students who often read account for 25.5% of the total number; Students who read occasionally account for 59.3% of the total number, and students who basically don't read account for 1 1.9% of the total number. Few students often borrow books from the library in their spare time, but 20.9% of them hardly go to the library.
At the same time, the reading orientation is not optimistic. In the investigation, we found an obvious tendency: all kinds of interesting and entertaining newspapers and magazines, as well as entertainment books such as romance, martial arts and detective novels are the reading objects of most students. On the contrary, they are inexplicably indifferent to political and professional books and few people are interested in them. Even if they read a little, it is to meet the homework and requirements assigned by the teacher. In the survey, we found that the number of college students who consciously enrich and improve their theoretical level by reading political theory and professional books is really very small.
3. The learning goal is unclear, the motivation is insufficient, and the thirst for knowledge is not strong.
In the survey, it is found that few students often go to the study room for self-study, while 27.4% students hardly go to the study room; 32.9% students took part in the self-taught examination; Students who participated in foreign language or computer training accounted for 29.7% of the total number; However, 30.7% of the students did not take part in the study outside the major; The college requires all freshmen to study by themselves in the classroom at night, but we can find that the effect of self-study is not ideal. After finishing a small amount of homework, many students will do nothing, many students will chat and even some boys will play poker, and only a few students can study quietly.
4. Lack of enthusiasm and enthusiasm for participating in activities that are beneficial to physical and mental health and improve their overall quality. I'm not interested in any activities, such as collecting stamps or taking photos, painting and calligraphy activities, practicing computer operation, learning foreign languages, taking part-time jobs, social work, writing articles and submitting articles, social investigation, etc. The number of college students participating in these activities is not only small, but also shows the trend that "the more senior students, the less participants". In order to enrich campus life and provide students with broader learning and development space, the college organized various activities and provided various conditions and resources, but failed to achieve the effect of universal utilization. For example, few people voluntarily participate in various lectures organized by the school. Speech contest organized by the college, few students signed up, and so on.
5. The ability of self-management and self-monitoring is poor, and some students have goals and a sense of crisis, but they have no practical actions. Many students complain to their teachers: I am under great pressure. I think it is difficult for us to find a good job after graduation from junior college. I also want to get into CET-4 and take the undergraduate course myself, but I will unconsciously follow my classmates back to the dormitory after class and do nothing. Chatting, reading leisure books and eating melon seeds are really boring.
6. Unreasonable use of computer networks takes up many students' spare time. According to the survey of computer usage in dormitory, it is found that boys play online games more, girls watch movies and chat more, some students often browse various websites to gain knowledge, and a few students often practice their skills. Indulge in online games and chatting and making friends after school or at night, which affects study and rest, reduces communication between classmates and is lazy to participate in sports and campus activities.
