Four biographies of Confucianism
"Four Biographies" refers to The Great Learning, The Doctrine of the Mean, The Analects of Confucius and Mencius, and is an academic thought exclusively belonging to Confucius and Mencius.

The Analects of Confucius is a book that records the life and lectures of Confucius and the words and deeds of his disciples. As Shi Huai said, "To understand the traditional culture of China, we must first understand the academic thoughts of Confucianism. To talk about Confucianism, we must first study the study of Confucius and Mencius. To say that Confucius' thought is academic, we must first understand the Analects of Confucius. "Like quotations, the twenty Analects of Confucius recorded the famous sayings and actions of Confucius and his disciples in concise words. Since the Tang Dynasty, famous Confucian scholars in all previous dynasties believed that the chapters of The Analects were randomly arranged and had no internal logic. After their marks and comments, The Analects became a rigid dogma. No one dares to jump out of this traditional scope, stick to the rules and follow the rules. Inside and outside, Shi Huai's The Analects got rid of the exegetical scope of thousands of years, distinguished the wrong meanings of the past dynasties, redefined the meanings, and restored the true colors of The Analects. He pointed out that the Analects of Confucius was actually carefully compiled by his disciples. Each article is well-organized and well-organized, and the arrangement of 20 articles in the book echoes from beginning to end, which is equal to a seamless good article. Shi Huai enlivened the lively life of The Analects of Confucius with his unique views, enabling modern China people to understand the true inner thoughts of The Analects with modern life experience.

Mencius is a book that records the words and deeds of Mencius, the successor of Confucius. Mencius was a man in the Warring States period. He carried forward the Confucian culture, morality and political theory founded by Confucius, so he was called "the sage of Asia". There are 1 1 pieces of Mencius recorded in Hanshu, and there are 7 existing ones, and 4 others are said to have been lost. Shi Huai's Biography of Mencius adopted a completely different method from the annotation of Mencius by famous Confucian scholars in previous dynasties. Starting from the social environment of Mencius' time and connecting with the historical personnel in the past 5,000 years, this paper explores why Mencius' theory is irrefutable from ancient times to the present. It is pointed out that Mencius has been calling for human justice and traditional moral politics, and has never changed at all because of the influence of the times and environment. He practiced the spirit of saving the world that he advocated.

University is a chapter in the Book of Rites. Since its popularity in the Song Dynasty, Zhu's Great Learning has long been regarded as a stepping stone to fame, but it is gradually unknown. It is believed that the idea of "Da Xue" originated from "The Book of Changes, Gangua and Classical Chinese", which is a representative work of ancient Central Plains culture and has its own logical context. It is greatly disappointed with Zhu's tampering with the original text. Therefore, Shi Huai told the story of "University" in the original. A Brief Talk on the Former University gives a detailed and thorough account of the secondary cultivation and practical learning such as "discipline, knowledge, honesty and sincerity" and even "self-cultivation, keeping the family in order, governing the country and leveling the world". Master Huai pointed out in his book that the general program of "university" is "the way of university, which is clear in virtue, close to the people and ends with perfection". Around this general outline, the close relationship between internal medicine and external medicine is expounded. From "respecting things" to "correcting the heart" belongs to the knowledge of internal knowledge. If the cultivation of inner knowledge reaches the realm of Ming De, and it is used for housekeeping, governing the country and leveling the world, it is necessary to start from self-cultivation. Self-cultivation is an important key between internal medicine and external medicine. The essence of "University", which had been obscure for two thousand years, was brilliantly explained by Shi Huai, providing a guide for modern people to cultivate their self-cultivation and conduct themselves.
