This major enrolls 15-20 undergraduates and 3-5 postgraduates every year. First year of undergraduate course:

Learn basic courses such as Russian for one year, grammar for one year, reading for one year, audio-visual and speaking for one year, and general situation of CIS countries. Mainly to master Russian phonetics, learn Russian basic grammar and vocabulary knowledge, cultivate basic Russian listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, and understand the general situation of CIS countries.

Second year of undergraduate course:

Learn two years of Russian, two years of grammar, two years of reading, two years of audio-visual speaking, Russian conversation and other basic courses. It is mainly to consolidate Russian pronunciation, continue to learn Russian grammar and vocabulary knowledge, and cultivate the practical ability of Russian listening, speaking, reading and writing.

The third year of undergraduate course:

Learn Russian for three years, 19 th century Russian literature history, three years reading, three years listening and speaking, foreign trade Russian, selected reading of Russian newspapers and periodicals, Russian lexicology, Russian language and culture. It is mainly to further consolidate the knowledge and proficiency acquired by students in the basic stage, develop students' ability of coherent expression in oral and written languages, expand their vocabulary and evaluate their knowledge, and improve their ability to use language and work independently.

Fourth year of undergraduate course:

Study four years of Russian, four years of audio-visual speaking, Russian practical rhetoric, Russian-Chinese translation, 20th century Russian literature history,19th century Russian literature reading, Russian writing, 20th century Russian literature reading, Russian word processing and other courses. The purpose of these courses is to improve students' translation level. Through a lot of reading, students can have a perceptual knowledge of the works of Russian literary masterpieces, thus improving their ability to read the original works and their language and literature literacy. At the same time, they can deepen their understanding of language and eliminate the obstacles caused by non-linguistic factors in communication, so as to better play the communicative role of language. Professional courses for graduate students mainly include: Russian novels, Russian poetry, literature in the reform period, history of Russian literary criticism, translation theory and practice, Russian language theory, Russian drama, advanced reading and writing, Russian rhetoric, Russian literary rhetoric theory, and language analysis of classic works.
