Sun Yat-sen University, founded by Dr. Sun Yat-sen, has a school-running tradition of over 100 years, and is an important town of scientific research, cultural scholarship and personnel training in southern China. 2. South China University of Technology

South China University of Technology is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education. It is located in Guangzhou, a famous city in the south, covering an area of more than 2.94 million square meters. The campus is divided into two campuses. Wushan Campus is located in Shipai University District, Tianhe District, Guangzhou. The predecessor of Guangdong Institute of Technology was a first-class industrial school in Guangdong Province established in 19 18, and its history can be traced back to the Guangdong Arts and Crafts Bureau founded by the Qing government in 19 10. These colleges and universities are the cradle of cultivating senior engineering and technical talents and an important source of early democratic and scientific ideas in South China.

3. South China Normal University

South China Normal University was founded in 1933, and its predecessor was Teachers College of Li Qin University. 1996 entered the national "2 1 1 project" key construction universities. In 20 15, it became a key university under construction by Guangdong Provincial People's Government and Ministry of Education, and entered the ranks of high-level universities in Guangdong Province in the same year. 4. Jinan University

Jinan University is the first overseas Chinese university founded by the government in China. It is a key comprehensive university under the "2 1 1 Project" jointly established by the State Council Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, Ministry of Education and Guangdong Province, and directly under the leadership of the State Council Overseas Chinese Affairs Office. The current president is Professor Hu Jun, and the party secretary is Professor Lin. The word "Jin 'an" comes from Shangshu Gong Yu: "The east is gradually in the sea, the west is in quicksand, and the south is combined, which teaches the world." It means facing South Asia and spreading Chinese culture.

5. Shenzhen University

Shenzhen University was established on 1983 with the approval of the State Council. Since its establishment 32 years ago, Shenzhen University has followed the rapid development of the SAR with the determination of reform, and has formed a complete talent training system and a multi-level scientific research and social service system from bachelor to master to doctor. It has become a comprehensive university with complete disciplines, perfect facilities, excellent teachers and standardized management. Shenzhen University has two campuses, Houhai and Xili, with a total campus area of 2.72 square kilometers. Houhai Campus 1.34 square kilometers; Xili Campus 1.38 square kilometers is planned to be put into use at the end of 20 16.

6. South China Agricultural University

South China Agricultural University is a national key university, and its long history of running a school can be traced back to Guangdong Agricultural Experimental Field and Agricultural Workshop founded in 1909. 1952, during the adjustment of colleges and universities in China, the Agricultural College of Sun Yat-sen University and Lingnan University merged with the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine and the Department of Pests and Diseases of Guangxi University to form South China Agricultural College, which belongs to the Ministry of Agriculture. 7. Southern Medical University

Southern Medical University, formerly known as the First Military Medical University of PLA, was founded in 195 1. There are two campuses, Headquarters and Shunde, covering an area of 6.5438+0.68 million square meters and a building area of 845,000 square meters, and enrolling students from 3.65438+0 provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government and Hong Kong and Macao. 17 college offers 29 undergraduate majors, including 7 national specialties, 9 Guangdong specialties and 6 Guangdong famous brands. There are about 20,000 full-time students and nearly 4,000 graduate students, and the scale of doctoral enrollment ranks second in the national medical colleges.

8. Shantou University

Shantou University, founded in 198 1, is a comprehensive university jointly founded by the Ministry of Education, the Guangdong Provincial People's Government and the Li Ka-shing Foundation, and it is also the only public university in the world that is continuously funded by the Li Ka-shing Foundation, a private foundation. The school is located in the northwest of Shantou, a coastal city, with an area of 1888.70 mu and a building area of 435,200 square meters. At present, there are 0/540 faculty members and 0/0056 full-time students, and more than 90,000 people have been trained for the society.

9. Guangdong University of Foreign Studies

Guangdong University of Foreign Studies is a key university with distinctive international characteristics in Guangdong Province, and it is an important base for international talent training and foreign language culture, foreign trade and international strategy research in South China. There are 20,054 full-time undergraduates, 2,905 doctoral and master students, and more than 20,000 adult undergraduates, advanced students and international students.

10, Guangzhou University

Guangzhou University is located in Guangzhou, a famous historical and cultural city in China, the economic and cultural center of South China, the frontier of reform and opening up, and the southwest end of Guangzhou University Town. Guangzhou University implements a * * * management system in which provinces and cities jointly build and cities take the lead. The school began to recruit ordinary undergraduates on 1958, and was granted the right to confer master's degree on 1983, and the right to confer doctoral degree in 2006.
