Institute of Fashion Technology is one of the "Top Ten Famous Clothing Schools" in China. Southampton University is a well-known comprehensive university in Britain. In 20 19, the comprehensive strength of British universities ranked 23rd, the discipline of art and design (including Chinese-foreign cooperation with dalian polytechnic university) ranked 7th in Britain, and it ranked 87th in the world in 20 17.
The undergraduate education project jointly organized by the two universities introduced the quality education resources of Southampton University in the UK. The two sides are equipped with advanced teaching facilities and excellent teachers, and adopt an international school-running model to cultivate high-quality, applied and compound senior art design and fashion design professionals with international vision, theoretical knowledge of art design, compatibility with eastern and western cultures and modern design concepts, and strong creative design ability and practical ability.
The enrollment of project majors is included in the national enrollment plan of ordinary colleges and universities, and in principle, it is admitted in the same batch in all provinces with other art majors of our school (except those with special requirements). Students can study in China for four years and complete all the courses, or they can study in China for the first two years in the "2+2" mode, and then continue their studies at the University of Southampton in the UK after voluntarily applying and passing the school examination. Students who choose the "4+0" or "2+2" mode of study can obtain the undergraduate diploma of dalian polytechnic university, the bachelor's degree certificate and the bachelor's degree certificate of Southampton University.
