Introduction of Hainan University School of Foreign Languages
The former School of Foreign Languages of Hainan University was established in June 2004, which was formed by the merger of the English Department of the College of Humanities and Communication of Hainan University and the College English Department. In September 2007, the College English Department was separated from the School of Foreign Languages. At the same time, the English major of the former College of Arts and Sciences of South China University of Tropical Agriculture was merged into the School of Foreign Languages of Hainan University, and the School of Foreign Languages of New Hainan University was established. In order to rationally allocate teaching resources, realize the organic combination of basic teaching and professional teaching, and promote the continuous improvement of teaching quality, Hainan University decided to merge the Foreign Languages College with the Foreign Languages Department of the Foreign Languages Department in June 2009 to form a new foreign languages college.
