Shanghai Jiaotong University was shortlisted for 27 disciplines this year, two more than last year, namely anatomical physiology (ranking 51-kloc-0/00) and social policy and management (ranking 51-kloc-0/00). The number of disciplines ranked in the top 50 in the world by Shanghai Jiaotong University remained at 10, and the number of disciplines ranked in the top 51-kloc-0/00 increased from 8 to 15. The top 100 disciplines in the world have increased from 18 to 25, and the overall strength of the disciplines has been significantly improved.

Judging from the change of ranking, the ranking of 15 has improved compared with the previous year. Among them, mathematics and architecture rank among the top 50 in the world for the first time. In terms of disciplines, engineering and technology disciplines performed best, and the global ranking rose from 29th to 26th (tied). The rankings of life science, medicine and natural science have also improved (by 1 1 and 13 respectively), and the arts and humanities are the same as last year.
