Wuhan University of Light Industry, formerly known as Wuhan University of Technology, is located in Wuhan, the capital city of Hubei Province, which is a thoroughfare of nine provinces. It is a multidisciplinary university that focuses on engineering, with the coordinated development of engineering, management, science, literature, economics, agriculture, art and law.
Founded in 195 1, the school is the earliest school in China to train professionals in the grain industry. It belongs to the former Ministry of Food, the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Internal Trade. From 65438 to 0998, it was established by the central and local governments, with Hubei Province as the main management system. It is an ordinary university supported by Hubei Province and the State Grain Bureau, and the first batch of national agricultural and forestry talents education and training plan reform pilot universities.
In May 20 13, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Wuhan Institute of Technology was renamed Wuhan University of Light Industry. Wuhan University of Light Industry is the only university in China named after the characteristics of light industry. Its predecessor is Wuhan Grain College, one of the three famous grain colleges in China, and it is an institution of higher learning that specializes in cultivating professionals in the grain, oil and food industry.
