The School of Mathematical Sciences adheres to the school-running philosophy of "grasping the mainstream, strengthening the foundation, making great achievements, paying attention to crossing and developing characteristics", and has built a teaching system of mathematical courses with the characteristics of Jiaotong University. At present, there are two national excellent courses (mathematical experiment and advanced mathematics) and eight Shanghai excellent courses (advanced mathematics, mathematical experiment, mathematical analysis, university algebra, advanced algebra, engineering mathematics, ordinary differential equations, probability theory and mathematical statistics), which are the models of English teaching in Shanghai universities. National Excellent Video Open Class, one of the first two courses (Mathematical Journey) launched by our large-scale open network course, National Excellent Resources Enjoying Course (Mathematical Experiment), First Prize of Shanghai Teaching Achievement Award 1, Second Prize 1, Excellent Teaching Award 1, National Twelfth Five-Year Plan Textbook 2. There is a national engineering mathematics teaching base of the Ministry of Education. In 2007, the teaching team of engineering mathematics base was selected as a national teaching team. Postgraduate training is an important part of discipline construction in the School of Mathematical Sciences. School of Mathematical Sciences received 1996 Ph.D. in applied mathematics. In 2002, it was a first-class discipline in mathematics and a first-class discipline in statistics on 20 12. Applied mathematics was selected as a national key discipline in 2007, and mathematics was selected as a first-class discipline in Shanghai from 2065438 to September 2002. In 20 14 years, the international ESI data of mathematics discipline ranked 63rd in the world. At present, in all five two disciplines of mathematics (basic mathematics, applied mathematics, computational mathematics, operational research and cybernetics, probability theory and mathematical statistics) and statistics, academic master students and doctoral students in algebra, analysis and geometry, number theory, combination and graph theory, ordinary differential equations and dynamical systems, partial differential equations, mathematical physics, applied and computational mathematics, probability statistics and financial mathematics are enrolled, and from 20650. There are post-doctoral mobile stations in mathematics. At the same time, the School of Mathematical Sciences also offers more than 30 public mathematics courses for all graduate students every year.
