The new campus of Shanghai Maritime University is located in the southwest corner of Lingang New Town, 3 kilometers away from Dishui Lake in the center of Lingang New Town and about 70 kilometers away from the center of Shanghai. It faces the East China Sea, near the north bridge head of the East China Sea Bridge, connecting its Shanghai Shipping Center and Yangshan Deepwater Port across the sea. The planned construction land area of the campus is 6.5438+0.333 million square meters, about 2,000 mu, with a total construction area of about 600,000 square meters.

During the construction of the port campus, the school always pays attention to the four themes of "ocean, ecology, humanity and spirit", and builds a natural, humanistic and communicative university campus based on landscape design, realizing the organic combination of landscape environment and architectural planning, and the organic combination of natural landscape and humanistic landscape. The school's graphic information center won the Luban Award of China's architectural engineering and the Magnolia Award of Shanghai's architectural engineering quality award, and the buildings such as auditorium, sports center, administrative building, scientific research building, navigation teaching building, logistics engineering college, marine science and engineering college and information engineering college won the Magnolia Award.
