According to the list of double-class and high-level construction disciplines published by the Ministry of Education on 20 17, Chang 'an University was selected as four first-class disciplines and three first-class characteristic disciplines, including road traffic, vehicle engineering, civil engineering, traffic engineering and other first-class disciplines. In addition, Chang 'an University has also been included in the key projects such as the basic capacity building project of universities in the central and western regions, the innovation platform construction project of dominant disciplines in universities in the central and western regions, and the education and training plan for outstanding engineers. These achievements show that Chang 'an University has made remarkable achievements in discipline construction and scientific research innovation, and is regarded as a double-class university.
