Mid-Autumn Festival, Spring Festival, Tomb-Sweeping Day and Dragon Boat Festival are also called the four traditional festivals in China. Since 2008, Mid-Autumn Festival has been listed as a national statutory holiday. Tomb-Sweeping Day, Dragon Boat Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival are officially listed as national statutory holidays in the newly revised National Holidays and Remembrance Days.
Since 2008, there are seven national holidays, namely New Year's Day, Spring Festival, Tomb-Sweeping Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Labor Day, Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day. Holidays on national public holidays are concentrated by adjusting weekends, and the vacation time is released by the State Council every year. Local festivals, traditional festivals of ethnic minorities and festivals of other specific groups are limited to specific groups or local areas.

Legal provisions: Article 40 of the Labor Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) (excluding statutory holidays in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Macao Special Administrative Region and Taiwan Province Province) stipulates that the employing unit shall arrange employees to take holidays according to law on New Year's Day, Spring Festival, International Labor Day, National Day and other holidays stipulated by laws and regulations.
According to the National Festival and Memorial Day issued by the State Council (Order No.270th of the State Council), there are three kinds of holidays in China, two of which are legal holidays.
