Brief introduction of Harbin Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine
Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (formerly known as Heilongjiang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine) was founded in 1959. After forty-five years of construction and development, the school has become a famous institution of higher learning in traditional Chinese medicine with high teaching, scientific research and medical treatment. In 2004, it won the excellent conclusion of undergraduate teaching level evaluation by the Ministry of Education. It is one of the key universities in Heilongjiang Province and also the development center of traditional Chinese medicine education, medical care, science and technology and northern medicine in Heilongjiang Province. In 2004, in the comprehensive competitiveness evaluation and classification report of 487 universities in China published by China Youth Daily, the comprehensive ranking of universities was 13, ranking fifth among 68 medical universities and second among Chinese medicine universities. The school has become a well-known Chinese medicine institution of higher learning at home and abroad.
