1 School Introduction

The school was founded in 1920, and its name is Harbin Sino-Russian Industrial School. After the period of China-Russia University of Technology and East Special Zone University of Technology, it was officially named Harbin Institute of Technology on 1928. 195 1 has been identified as one of the two demonstration universities in China to learn the mode of running foreign higher education, and 1954 has entered the first batch of six key universities in China.

1996 entered the first batch of key construction universities in the national "2 1 1 project". 1999 was identified as one of the first nine universities in the "985 Project". In 2000, it merged with Harbin Jianzhu University to form the new Harbin Institute of Technology.

As of June 5438+February, 2022, the school has three campuses: Harbin, Weihai and Shenzhen. The campus area is 5,654,200 square meters and the building area is 3,550,800 square meters. There are 22 colleges with 107 undergraduate majors. Full-time teachers 4 1 10, students 5590 1.

2. Scientific research achievements

According to the school official website, in March, 2020, Harbin Institute of Technology participated in 14 of 16 national major science and technology projects, and achieved a number of significant landmark achievements in the fields of aerospace, robotics, small satellites, equipment manufacturing, new energy and new materials. The school has successfully developed and launched "Experiment No.1", "Experiment No.3", "Kuaizhou No.1", "Kuaizhou No.2" and "Lilac No.2" satellites, setting a record of five consecutive victories in the research and development of small satellites in domestic universities.

Seven projects, including advanced micro-satellite platform technology research, space manipulator technology, satellite-ground laser link test, integrated technology of fast boat, satellite and arrow, and photoelectric and control system of Shen Guang ⅲ laser device shooting range, were selected as the top ten scientific and technological progress in China universities.
