The College of Literature of Northwest University is one of the liberal arts departments with a long history in Northwest China, which has gone through 100 years. Before liberation, a large number of well-known scholars such as li jinxi, Luo Changpei, Gao Feng, Xu Shoushang, Cao Jinghua, Luo Genze, Gao Ming and Jiang Tianshu once taught in our college. From 65438 to 0924, Mr. Lu Xun, the standard-bearer of modern new culture in China, came here to give lectures, which became a wonderful chapter in the history of our college. After the founding of New China, famous professors such as Fu Gengsheng, Liu Zhisheng, Hao Yufeng, Song, Dan Jixiang, Yang Chunlin, An Qi, etc. Exploring the secluded place here has laid a solid foundation for the development of our hospital. Over the past decades, the College of Literature has trained nearly 5,000 qualified graduate students, undergraduates and junior college students for the country, including He Xilai, Wang Furen, Lei, Jia Pingwa, Chi Zijian, Huang Jianxin and many other outstanding scholars, writers and artists, and won a good social reputation for the college.
Since the reform and opening up, the College of Liberal Arts has seized the opportunity, met the challenge, based on reality, focused on development, constantly strived for self-improvement, kept pace with the times, carried forward the past and carried forward the future, and all undertakings have flourished.
At present, the College of Literature has three departments of Chinese, fine arts, radio, film and television, four undergraduate majors of Chinese language and literature, drama, film and television literature, art design (including decorative design, environmental art design and decorative art design) and animation, and eight master's programs of China ancient literature, China classical philology, China modern and contemporary literature, literature and art, language and applied linguistics, comparative literature and world literature, fine arts and cinematography. There are 1400 graduate students and undergraduates from more than 20 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in China. The college has complete teaching facilities and rich books and materials, which provides a good guarantee for the development of teaching and scientific research.
In the course of more than one hundred years' development, the College of Literature has formed a pragmatic, rigorous, open and democratic style of study. In recent years, the "2-35 1 1" project implemented by our college for undergraduates (encouraging students to recite 300 poems, complete 50 exercises, speak fluent Mandarin and practice good handwriting within two years after entering school) has achieved remarkable results and formed a good "basic" incentive mechanism, "2-35/kloc"
The graduates of our college generally have the qualities of solid foundation, comprehensive ability, dedication, courage to explore and sufficient "stamina", which have been widely welcomed and praised by the society.
The major of Chinese language and literature in our college is a famous undergraduate major in Shaanxi Province, the major of ancient literature in China is a provincial key construction discipline, and the major of literary theory is a school-level key construction major. The history of ancient Chinese literature was rated as a provincial-level excellent course, and many other courses were identified as key construction courses at the school level.
At present, our college has eight master's degree programs, including China ancient literature, China classical philology, literature and art, China modern and contemporary literature, language and applied linguistics, world literature and comparative literature, fine arts and film studies. Among them, China ancient literature, literature and art, modern and contemporary literature are the first batch of national master's degree authorization points approved by the State Council Academic Degrees Committee, fine arts is the authorized major of fine arts in Northwest China, and film science is the only authorized major of film and television art in Northwest China at present.
In 2004, the major of ancient literature in China was authorized as a doctor's degree.
Shaanxi Normal University College of Literature
After more than 60 years' development and the continuous efforts of several generations of scholars, the College of Literature of Shaanxi Normal University has shown great strength in the national literary world, with a high-quality teaching and research echelon with rich teaching, high academic qualifications and reasonable academic structure, forming a fine tradition of "respecting morality and learning, being rigorous and realistic, being inclusive and showing individuality", and summing up six principles: emphasizing basic training, theoretical accomplishment and academic norms. At present, the College of Liberal Arts is divided into four majors, including 1 1 master's major and 8 doctoral programs in Chinese. In 2007, the doctoral program of "Literature and Cultural Media" was set up independently. In 2007, China ancient literature was rated as a national key discipline, and Chinese language and literature education was also awarded the first batch of characteristic majors by the Ministry of Education. In recent years, graduates of the College of Liberal Arts are conscientious and responsible in their work, and their basic skills are solid, which has been widely praised by employers and all walks of life.
The major of Chinese language and literature education is the backbone and traditional major of the College of Liberal Arts. It has trained a large number of talents and educational backbones, and is moving towards the goal of cultivating innovative, high-level, high-quality and high-skilled Chinese talents in Zong Zheng. The establishment and original intention of secretary education specialty is based on the social demand for senior secretary talents and secretary education talents. Its employment rate ranks in the top three in the whole school. TCFL, relying on the College of Liberal Arts and combining with the International Sinology College, takes the lead in implementing the "2+2" talent training mode, advocates entering the pre-class trial lecture in advance, and pays attention to the cultivation of training ability. China Language and Literature Base is one of the first eight liberal arts education bases directly approved by the Ministry of Education. It implements the screening mechanism of continuous reading for undergraduates and postgraduates, and creates a "learning style".
